We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team at Nina's! As the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance in the classroom, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment, and promoting health and safety.
We are looking for Teachers who meet *ONE *of the following:
* 12 core semester units in Early Childhood Education/Development or appropriate age level curriculum.
or
* Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential issued by the CDA National Credentialing Program-Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition
or
* One of the following Child Development Permits issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing:
1.
Child Development Associate Teacher Permit
2.
Child Development Teacher Permit
3.
Child Development Master Teacher Permit

*Duties:*
* Oversee the daily operations of the classroom, including curriculum development, and staff management
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
* Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
* Provide instructional leadership by supporting teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies
* Monitor student progress and implement interventions as necessary to support student achievement
* Teachers shall visually observe aides whenever aides are working with children, except as provided for in Section 101416.
5(d)(1) in Title 22.
* Participate in physical activities with children which involve lifting, bending, carrying, twisting, stooping, puling, etc.
* Lifting, carrying, diapering, changing, feeding and cleaning of children.
*Qualifications:*
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must successfully clear criminal background without exemption.
* Submit completed shot record, including TB test and influenzas shots.
* Possesses a regional occupation program certificate of training in child care occupations issued by a regional occupational program.
* A photocopy of the teachers Child Development Permit as specified below, or a photocopy of the teacher's transcript(s) documenting successful completion of required course work.
* Teacher shall complete 16 hours of health and safety training if necessary pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.

* Must have CA AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificate

* Must have knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with families and staff.
* Must be self-motivated and able to work with a minimum supervision.
* Must be dedicated to the goals and philosophy of the program.

* Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
* Must be able to bend, squat, reach, kneel, and climb stairs.
* Must be able to sit, stand, walk, twist, and bend for long periods of time.
* Must be able to join active play with children.
