Will you join us on our journey? We are seeking a dynamic *Human* *Resources* *Generalist *to help grow, mentor, and support the 300+ employees at our Tracy, CA production facility.
The pay range for this role is typically $80,000-$94,000.
*Responsibilities:* The Human Resources Generalist assists the day-to-day operations of the HR Department with labor relations and human resources matters.
Responsibilities are in the following functional areas: reconcile labor relations matters including grievances, contracts, and other related issues; gather and maintain documents and records required for contract and policy development, investigations, and negotiations; and build and maintain a positive working relationship with the local union representatives, employees, and leadership team.
*We Ask of You To:* * Champions employee engagement activities that support social, networking, and technical opportunities in the plant.
* Manages and resolves low-to-mid-level employee relation investigations and issues and escalates when necessary.
* Supports the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and provides advice, assistance, counseling, and follow-up on Company policies and procedures while ensuring proper record-keeping and file management processes.
* Supports employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation through various methods including active floor time, etc.
* Manages internal job bid transfer posting and selection process and ensures compliance with CBA.
* Prepares, analyzes, and distributes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department.
* Supports the development and implementation of plant-level Human Resources policies and practices, and helps to manage day-to-day execution of CBA, plant- and corporate-level policies and strategies to ensure consistent application.
* Assists with coordinating compliance and regulatory training for all employees such as Harassment Prevention, Affirmative Action, etc.
* Advises all involved parties in a labor relations dispute with the goal of reaching a fair and amicable resolution that satisfies all party’s needs.
* Applies knowledge of business, legal, and industry best practices to help involved parties reach an agreement.
* Works efficiently and promptly such that wage loss, interruption of business operations, ill feelings, and mistrust are minimized and mitigated.
* Actively listens to all sides of a disagreement; seeks understanding of undisputed facts, identifies areas for mutual agreement, and suggests possible areas for compromise.
* Crosstrain with the HR team members and assist as needed.

*You Have (Minimum Qualifications):* * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or similar program, or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years of progressive work experience in Human Resources or Labor Relations positions, with a substantial portion of it in a manufacturing operation.
* Technically sound in Human Resources and Labor Relations fundamentals and best practices and the application of them in manufacturing operations.
*You Have the Following Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:* * Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, industry practices, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to see multiple facets of a dispute.
* Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
* Ability to remain impartial when listening to the facts of a grievance or dispute.
* Familiar with Human Resources fundamentals and best practices and the application of them in manufacturing operations.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Creative thinker with a process improvement mindset.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
* Willingness to support a 24-hour, 7-day fast paced food manufacturing facility.
*We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):* * Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification.
* Human Resources professional experience in a food manufacturing facility.
