PURPOSE STATEMENT The purpose of a Warehouse Group Leader is to coordinate the actions of a group of Associates responsible for shipping and receiving raw and finished goods in compliance with the Rich’s Manufacturing System.
This position plans and coordinates staffing, communicates expectations and schedules to the group, ensures materials, machinery, and tools are available throughout the shift, trains associates and monitors their performance, and drives continuous improvement.
This position is an hourly, direct labor Associate who directly supports the Production Team Leader; coordinates the actions of 10 to 15 Associates; trains, coaches, and recommends other actions for the group as appropriate; facilitates two-way communications; operates production equipment when required; and is responsible for carrying out the directions of the Warehouse Team Leader.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES Monitor and control the operation of the warehouse system through administrative direction of client management to ensure maximum system efficiency.
Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Perform Map inventory daily on all levels and modules to ensure inventory accuracy.
Document all delays, equipment issues, and operator errors to ensure data is present for daily meetings and communication.
Formulate reports concerning such areas as system performance, system faults or alarm situations, or system operation improvements.
Train team on the system Target Zero - lost time injuries/incidents Implement long-term solutions consistent with existing Power Automation Systems strategies and principles.
Carrying out daily Shipping tasks, which include, but are not limited to, driving a forklift, putting away pallets, loading trailers, wrapping pallets, fueling trailers, pre-established procedures.
Safety and Quality Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all other food safety requirements.
Ensures Material Handlers are working safely and wearing all required PPEs.
Reports any food safety problems and potentially unsafe practices/conditions to the Team Leader.
Be able to safely lift items from 10-50 lbs - boxes, pallets - ask for help for lifting heavier items.
Recommends changes to improve Shipping & Receiving standards.
Must be certified to use the motorized Pallet Jack, Scissor Lift, Forklift, or Bucket Lift, Yard truck, wrap machine, crane.
Work Environment May be assigned to work in extremely cold or hot conditions.
Most positions are located in areas with loud noise and will require the employee to wear protective ear plugs.
Other conditions include flour dust and wet floors.
Main activities will be constant sitting, occasional walking, lifting, and standing.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE HS diploma degree or GED preferable; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, E-mail, and simple database applications.
Ability to lead, motivate, and train associates.
Forklift experience.
Must have excellent computer skills and experience in extracting and analyzing data using information systems reporting tools such as Excel, Efficient with all Microsoft Office products.
Experience using RF, and SAP.
Must have good interpersonal, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP.
Good skills to analyze problems, develop solutions, and successfully implement the solutions.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and implement actions to drive continuous improvement.
Warehouse experience and WMS experience.
Inventory control experience.
COMPENSATION In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.
The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.
Hourly Rate $25.
00 - $25.
