Reports to: Director of Sales/General Manager
Sales Manager is a hands-on position responsible for contributing to the overall success of the hotel.
Help develop and set revenue sales and marketing strategies to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored, and sales goals are achieved.
Regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and food and beverage through direct client contacts.

Duties include:
• Comply with all Company and brand policies and procedures
• Aggressively pursue revenue goals
• Keep accurate hotel sales records
• Achieve budgeted Revenue and RevPAR targets for all business segments
• Participate in the preparation of annual departmental operating budget, hotel marketing plan and business plan
• Create and implement sales plans that drivemeasurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume
• Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potentialmarket and sales trends
• Develop and execute advertising programs within the GM guidelines and the approved budgets
• Identify and analyze competition, both locally and regionally
• Manage local sales efforts by conducting outside sales calls and prospects, which will be reported on a weekly basis
• Assist in developing packages and promotions to build business
• Manage “inside” sales effort by watching and working in hotel’s breakfast area to stay in contact with current guests.
• Ensure good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with all community and civic organizations
• Maintain high visibility throughout the property
• Maintain excellent knowledge of local competition and industry trends
• Employee will review and reply to all calls, emails, and sales leads in a timely manner.
• Ensure all associates are trained on emergency and security procedures and policies
• Ensures compliance with energy conservation and job safety requirements
• Maintain effective performance under pressure
• Prepare accurate and timely reports as required
• May perform similar duties as requested by supervisor

• AA degree in marketing or hospitality or 2 to 4 years experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting
