*Position Overview* The Advancement Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt position.
The Advancement Coordinator will help raise awareness and funds for VRC programs.
This position is responsible for helping with outreach, awareness, and achieving fundraising goals.
This position reports to the Director of Advancement & Training.
*Essential Functions* *Admin* * Plays a crucial role in research and analysis of opportunities for revenue, partnerships, and collaboration for program support and organizational visibility * Attends and takes minutes for staff meetings, training sessions, and retreats as scheduled * Participates, records, and disseminates meeting notes for marketing and development team meetings * Responds to external requests for assistance and information *Fundraising* * Assumes a lead role in donor and grant fulfillmentMaintains donor database and processes all incoming donations Processes donations – cash, pledges, credit card, stock, non-monetary donations, and other gifts – in a timely mannerPrepares and sends letters of appreciation and memorial acknowledgmentsReconciles data entry activity against financial accounting recordsCoordinates the efforts to track grant proposals, acknowledgments, awards, and reports * Updates written guidelines for fundraising activities, methods, and procedures * Produces reports in a timely manner (donor, revenue, and communications) * Helps implement virtual and in-person individual donor engagement events (with the participation of staff and the Board of Directors) to maximize prospect/donor engagement *Communication* * Coordinates and helps maintain VCRC’s social media channels * Updates content on VCRC’s website and works closely with the webmaster and leadership team to maintain website accuracy and functionality * Coordinates VCRC’s marketing collateral.
* Assists in writing/editing marketing and communications materials.
* Coordinates production, printing, and distribution of materials, including newsletters, appeals, brochures, flyers, and other materials.
* Serve as liaison with outside agencies (marketing, printing, and graphics) for the production of communications and fundraising materials.
* Coordinates print and electronic media and communications strategy; produces media packets and materials that will contribute to the recognition of VCRC within the community * Coordinates a variety of donor prospecting programs (i.
e.
, donation appeals, donor visits and tours, funder tours, bequests, charitable gift annuities, direct mail, and email campaigns) * Engages in collaboration to strengthen the collective impact of our programs and initiatives *External Communications and Community Representation* * Cultivates relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients * Represents VCRC as required to groups, especially non-monetary donors, including but not limited to service organizations, faith groups, and other stakeholders * Coordinates special projects * Other related duties as required and assigned *Environment & Physical Demands* This job generally operates in an office setting with exposure to general office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and fax machines.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Position requires extensive use of phones and computers as well as sitting for extended periods of time.
Certain computer applications, programs and documents may require ability to differentiate colors, shapes and symbols.
The position requires the ability to move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
*Position Type/Time Commitment/Location* This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
The position is located in Brentwood, with occasional travel.
Some weekends and evenings may be required.
