YOU As the Vice President, Market Development - Component Manufacturer, you will embody the role of a dynamic and strategic leader, dedicated to refining customer segmentation and orchestrating marketing strategies, including the execution of campaigns tailored to the Component Manufacturing Industry.
Your primary focus will be to spearhead digital market development initiatives, crafting innovative strategies that cater to customer needs and broaden market reach.
You will adeptly oversee business operations, monitoring sales performance and addressing the needs of our sales organization, while cultivating pivotal relationships with major industry stakeholders to fortify the company’s standing in the market.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) Market Development (60%) Develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy focusing on customer needs identification and mapping out sales and market growth opportunities.
Translate internal capabilities into market-facing solutions and tools, creating a competitive edge in the market.
Develop a comprehensive strategy for penetrating new markets and expanding market share, including a detailed playbook that outlines sales strategies and marketing needs to effectively launch and scale products and services.
Business Operations (20%) Monitor sales performance and inventory levels to ensure that the company meets its financial and operational goals.
Track business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintain dashboards to provide insights into business performance.
Industry Relationship Development (20%) Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry players, including potential clients, partners, and market influencers, to enhance the company's market position.
Lead networking initiatives to identify and engage with business leaders and decision-makers in relevant industries.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to establish and strengthen business relationships.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align industry relationship strategies with overall business goals.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes.
Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
MBA or Executive Certificate preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in the building construction industry, with proven expertise in the Component Manufacturing Industry, is required.
10 years of exceptional leadership skills with a history of mentoring, recruiting, and growing teams.
Proven track record in engagement with customer-facing digital products and systems.
Knowledge and experience effectively crafting and running demand generation strategies, working closely with Sales and Product Marketing leadership.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
Experience managing enterprise level budgets and leading large strategic initiatives.
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills with a focus on achieving organizational goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and lead change initiatives.
Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings, develop a strong team, coach and mentor existing professionals.
Ability to influence and drive vision across the organization.

Chicago, IL) and remote work may be considered for ideal candidates.
Relocation Relocation may be negotiated for this position.
Pay $256,500 - $320,600 / year * Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.
