The Leasing Consultant is responsible under the direction of the Community Manager for the leasing of apartments and all related functions, outreach marketing, and keeping supervisors fully informed of the site's occupancy status.
The ideal Leasing Consultant must relate well to people, exercise good judgment and discretion in dealing with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
JOB SUMMARY:
? Responsible for screening new rental applications by running credit checks, confirming employment and prior rental.
Discuss with Manager for final approval or denial.
? Assure all income is deposited daily to the bank and applied accurately to the resident's ledger.
? Code invoices accurately and after computer input, give to the Manager for review and approval.
? Prepare and serve all legal notices as directed by the Manager.
? Maintain and perpetuate RSI policies and procedures.
? Prepare the weekly and monthly reports to be reviewed by the Manager.
? Be responsible for the condition of the rental office/model and rent ready units under the direction of the Manager.
? Assist the Manager in all aspects of renting the apartments, and renewing leases.
? Develop and maintain leasing packages.
? Perform rental comparison surveys and/or shop competitive properties at the direction of the Manager.
? Ensure the highest standard of curb appeal by walking the property and ensuring that all marketing materials are kept up to date with specials and are visible to car and foot traffic.
? Review all advertising at the direction of the Manger.
? Effectively communicate with residents and follow up.
? Plan and implement lease renewals at the direction of the Manager.

The employee occasionally must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds.

Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Must have the ability to walk short distances and climb stairs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Some experience working in residential property management as a Leasing Agent desired but not required, and the following skills:
? 1 year of Customer service and sales experience
? Successful track records of meeting sales goals
? Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
? Yardi Experience Preferred
? High School Diploma or GED required
