Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our team.
As an Instructor, you will be responsible for educating and guiding students ages 1 -7 in ballet.
Your role will involve creating a positive and engaging learning environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities:
* Excellent attendance and punctuality
* Maintain professionalism and positivity when talking with parents, as well as any time that you are representing the studio.
* Develop lesson plans based upon student skill set and age.
* Teaching weekly lessons while maintaining a safe classroom environment
* Choreographing dances for our recitals and performances, including collaborating to select music and costumes.
* Working as a productive team member when it comes to stage performances, recitals, and community events, and all that goes along with those.
* Background check / fingerprints will be required upon hiring.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth and improvement
* Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
Requirements:
Candidates should be receptive to training and feedback and have an extensive classical ballet training background, great communication skills, reliable transportation, excellent classroom management skills and most importantly have a love for working with young children.
- Previous experience working in dance studios
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with diverse student populations
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
Preferred Skills:
